Instant Gratification Scarf

A few months ago, I decided I needed a hobby. I don't have a lot of free time and I've always liked making stuff. So I settled on knitting. It's been fun learning. I even joined a knitting group. Been meaning to bring a camera to take a picture of all the ladies who knit. Hadn't gotten that far yet.

I've finished a couple of projects so far. This is my favorite one yet...

Li wanted me to make her a scarf. During my trip to the Vermilion Bay Yarn Company, I bought some yarn I really liked but each skein didn't have much yardage. I found a pattern on that would work. It makes the most of a small amount of yarn. They call it the instant gratification scarf. Li's scarf is decent for my first attempt at that stitch.

that scarf looks cool. probably also helped that you had to make it for Lily and not someone like Yao Ming. :)
